Our June 2023 knitwear pattern was created exclusively for Two Sheeps LLC by Seth Richardson! (@sethrichardsonknits on Instagram)
With textures inspired by a June day on the coast, Summer Wind is a light scarf composed of diagonal lines of open lacework that change direction in an airy, architectural wave. This beautiful scarf can be paired with a lightweight jacket to serve as a lovely accent piece for cool breezy days and nights.
Seth designed Summer Wind using 2 skeins of superwash fingering-weight yarn that was dyed exclusively for Two Sheeps by Eva Szabo of Seismic Yarn & Dyeworks in San Francisco.
All (100%!) of profits from the sale of this beautiful shawl pattern will be donated to The Trevor Project (@trevorproject), a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to end suicide among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people. LGBTQ young people are 4 times more likely to attempt suicide, and suicide remains the 2nd leading cause of death among all young people in the U.S. 🐑🐑💗
~7.5” (19 cm) wide and 68.25” (173 cm) long.
Note that the directional changes in the pattern give the edges of the scarf a slight undulating effect, just like a light breeze. More aggressive blocking may help achieve a somewhat straighter edge.
